Looking for somebody that still runs traditional brace....
Is there anybody out there that runs this type hound or know anybody that enjoys running this type hound? If so give me a yell at chaffincrank@yahoo.com. I know there are a few of these type houndsmen still left out there somewhere. I am interested in talking to a few.
P.S. I know most people don't like this type of hound, so don't turn this post into a traditional brace hound trashing session.

There is a nice website run by a guy here in Indiana. It has alot of good breeding articles on it. Just try and google for it. Good luck
We hold trials for this type of brace at our club in April. We have a pretty good show of people that are still interested in the sport. I helped brush cotton tails for the brace. It's not for me just went to help. The funny thing is that we were told that we were going to be protested for putting stress on the rabbits for doing this . LOL no one ever showed up.
There's a husband/wife team in Indianapolis that does pretty well at the brace trials.
Saunders, I think their name is... yeah, Bev and Ralph...
Their # should be in the book.

I myself am not interested in doing it. I have a brace dog that is a really fine hound but I can't run him with the rest of my pack and would like to see him go to somebody that will run him and take good care of him. If I can't find such a person he will live the crappy life of being a family pet and I know how much he loves to hunt, it kills him to see me take the others out and not him and I feel bad about leaving him behind.....

A tradition brace style hound (a.k.a walky talkies) bark with every step as they are walking a rabbit. It will take a brace dog about 30 mins to move the rabbit 50 yrds. (may be exagerated) Here is a link to Sammies pedigree if anyone wants to see it. http://www.worldpedigrees.com/Pedigree.asp?Id=139662
