Rabbit feeders

Look at this months issue of the American beagler it has a picture and discription of how to make both the feeder and brushpile out of plastic drums. thought it was worth trying in my starter pen. My beagle club feeds from feeders during the winter months and stops when spring green vegetation starts. We feed both pellets and corn and spread out busted salt blocks for the bunnies. Have had good results the past two years.

my husband just put together some wood to make a shelter with 2 four inch holes for a feeder. I built a brush pile over top and it is working great. Rabbits much happier eating in feeder than when I poured food on ground. I use rabbit pellets from feed store. I couldn't find time or energy to find plastic barrels.

4in PVC pipe, with cap on top, an elbow or tee on bottom. 2in nipple,
make sure to drill hole in bottom of elbow and tee, this lets watter out.
Height is about 12in or more. Use electrical ties to secure.
