10x10x6 Kennel

Post by magic_rabbit_hunter »

How many beagles would it be ok to keep in a 10x10x6 kennel. I think I need to get another one I really didn't think of that until today. I think I have to many beagles in one. In my kennel I have 3 adult males and a little 8 week old female. I think 4 beagles is to many for one 10x10x6 kennel and am thinking about getting another one. Should I?

I think you should get another kennel. Probably 2 dogs per kennel would be better. Keep in mind that your female pup will come in to heat about 8 months old. Be looking for the signs of coming into heat and you will need to seperate her from the males. You shouldn't breed her on her frist heat cycle.

Yeah I realize this and thanks for the heads up. I am probally going to chain the male thats in the kennel with her up when shes about 6 months until shes finally threw with her heat cycle. That way I know for sure she don't get bred.

MAGIC,
I HAVE THE 10X10X6 KENNELS, AND I SPLIT THEM IN HALF TO HAVE 2 KENNELS 10X5X6.
I NORMALLY KEEP 2 PER, BUT HAV KEPT AS MANY AS 3 OR 4 PER AND THEY DID JUST FINE. I HAVE MY HOUSES ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE ONES THAT HOUSE OVER 2, EVENTUALLY ALL WILL BE OUTSIDE. AND THEY GET TURNED OUT TO RUN PRETTY OFTEN.

Yeah I have 3 dogs and a pup in my 10x10x6 I clean it out every day and get them out for plenty of excercise so I didn't think that it would be to much of a problom. I also am going to upgrade it into a 10x20x6 so it will defineitly be big enough.
