seems to me like a couple ohio boys had some whippins handed out by this "rough rough" dog and dont like it...lol.

hey dawgy... does anybody besides you have any good dogs in ohio? i thought tony upton did but you slammed his dogs too and now your slamming lloyds world champ  , you must have some pretty tough dogs to slam all these big hunt winners??? whens the last time you won a state or world hunt? im NOT a turbo fan by any means at all, but wow! this dog won the world, so i bet its safe to say he is better than what your (and myself) feeding.

Clippy,
You said the following:
"Well i think its safe to say that the state of ohio has some of the best dogs out there period." That may be true but one thing is certain, it is also filled with some of the nastiest, most jealous people I have ever seen also. This Dawgy fella (is it the same Bob as on Swings board) took me to task when I was asked by another fella to explain what Rising Sun hounds were like. He went off on a anti Paul Webb (friend of mine) and anti Rising Sun's Rocket the likes of which shocked me. I never would have even been on the sight if it hadn't been for the fact that someone mentioned my name and that I might be of some help answering questions about what to expect from the new Rising Sun pups they bought. If this IS the same guy that was cutting up Paul and Rocket it seems strange that he now also knocks yet another obviously good rabbit dog. As Jim Pollock said, "Nobody likes a winner!". I would also add that nobody likes a "whiner" either and that seems to be the MO of some of these cry babies, who see better than what they own, standing in someone elses kennel and can't help but smear others because of it.
Like I said, Ohio may have some good dogs but also some creepy people.
Peace,
NYH

2 state wins in 1995 the last being in 1997. That being the last year I ran the ARHA circuit. When people come on here asking about dogs, the truth about them should be told. Why give people half truths about dogs. Tell the good and bad. As far as NYH he didn't want to hear the TRUTH about Rocket and Paul. Blackdirt hated to hear the TRUTH about Grizz. Jeremy said Jasper had a win in AKC I asked when did he get a licensed win. I judged him in the ARHA and gave him a win 2001. NEVER said anything bad about the dog, just how it's owner PROMOTES the hound. Shouldn't we as older trialers and gunners be looking out for the newbies and help them so they can get the real truths. If people ask about a certain dog they should be thick skinned enough to handle the truth. If you don't want to hear the truth don't ask. Dawgy

Well now lets all just bow down and kiss the feet of the all knowing DAWGY! It seems like he is the only one who knows the truth, right! For the record Dawgy, I am and always have been one for telling the truth as anyone who knows me can attest to, but fail to see why a person so full of bad things to say about so many should bear much weight. Y'all can go ahead and thumbs up this guy all you want but to me he just looks bitter and jealous. Life I guess can have a way of doing that to some people, for me I would rather smile and try to see the good in others....(when possible) ..oh and I guess in their hounds too. ;)
Peace,

Like I said NYH, if you didn't want to hear the truth about Rocket and Paul don't ask, don't look. Again if you read my post about Jasper, I NEVER said anything wrong about the hound. How many trials have you been around and seen Paul in action? How many times did you run against or judge Rocket? I'll say it again Paul's dogs are some of the most perfect built and looking hounds around. You said Paul told you Rocket only got beat by the judges pencil, it was that mentality that got him banned twice. I will say it AGAIN if you don't want to know the WHOLE truth about a dog, don't ask. I appreciate the ones who believe as I do. As far as being jealous we all have to feed what we like, ie style, bloodlines, male and or female. We all have our opinions on what makes a good hound. I have seen and owned hounds outta all the lines that I liked and ones that I didn't. I'm NOT kennel blind as though some seem to be on this board. If you've never seen a dog run you have to ask those who have. Take all the input and decide for yourself. But by all means if you get a chance to see it run do so. If not, look and see what crosses well with that hound and make your decision. Not ALL sires cross well with others. Dawgy

Dawgy,
And like I said, what gives you the corner on "the truth"? Why do you think your opinion should carry more weight than anyone elses? As I said on the other board, I did see Rocket run and he did a fine job, believe it or not. As far as extra mouth goes it was not there that day and no I never judged him in a trial because as I said I am not a trial judge, but here again judges may have the rules of the trial down pat (or NOT), they are not the end all authority on houndwork in my book. A hunter in the field with his hounds bringing rabbits to the gun day in and day out is the real judge as far as I am concerned. I do agree with you on one point and that is to go see for yourself, it is always the best policy. And as a last point I have seen some real fine hounds out of several lines and some duds just as well. I have some Rising Sun x Ninja blood here (Ninja's (when he was alive) owner is the President of my beagle club), and linebred Rising Sun and will tell you that they are all hunting fools. I also have a grade bitch and a Buckshot Mr. Bill bitch that are super on hare and rabbit, so you see I am not kennel blind. All I know is that my hounds can bring rabbits to the gun day in and day out and anyone with Rocket pups should be able the same. Now on to another topic for me.
