Lamarr,
I remember watching Tipp run in a few trials when he was still in KY. He was a big 15" male built well. Seemed to have good foot and control. He could run a rabbit well seemed like. As far as his breeding goes, I think Farrell told me he went back to Paycheck breeding. Hope this helps.

Bill Combs of Hazard,KY owned him a couple times I think.Bobby Noplis brought him by my place and showed me Tip.He was a well built hound ,Black Tan and white in color. He was built to run. Some of the men that watched him run said he could lead a pack and mortly fly.Bill Combs said he was the best hound he ever owned. He got big money for him when he sold him.He said he was offered big money and hated to let Tip go,but told me that he thought he might loose him to a big rattler or get killed and just sold him.Tip is dead now .Bill still talks about the hound.

Lamarr,i ran against Tipp when Bill combs owned him.If scenting was pretty good a pack could not run with him, that head would come off the ground and he would be gone.
I liked to watch him run but hated to draw him in the first round
after bill sold him never heard much about him anymore. If i'm not mistakened he was branko & paycheck breeding.

lamarr i was around tipp for a long time i used to run him for sam denver after he bought him off of bill combs. i have a few dogs out of tipp at my house, and they are some nice hounds but anyway, tipp was a big fast male that could absolutley fly but the scenting conditions had to be good for him to do well. i also ran him in many field trials as a champion hound. if you have any questions bout him i could answer them for you... josh
