No SR, I still have a few of them "drab" black & tan & white tri's out there in the kennels. Tell ya what, if this suits you, I'll rotate `em to the front of the kennels at the varying seasons of the year, so to match the weather, how's that? And you can do the same with your across the pond hounds and your Patches. Agreed? Do I have your approval or do I need to send you a contract to sign?

Tom, we need to plan another get together to run some bunnies again soon... ;)

I personally loved watching Darrin's Tater and Amber run. Even if they were both Patch hounds, they were a site to behold. Either one of them would be welcome in my kennel anytime.

Plow,
I sure would love to get with you some time this month or next and run some pups. Send me a pm or email me at jrtjholbrook@frontiernet.net if your interested in running some pups.
Darrin had nothing but good things to say about you and your dogs. :)

Agreed, no need for a contract (good humor and sarcasm... ;) )

Oh, and the ugly "pond puppies" must always stay to the rear of the kennel, their scorned enough as it is...

Bopeye,
That shows me you can't believe anything Darrin says.lol
I hope you have some dogs that can keep the rabbit going, my sorry pups sure can't run one. He better hope Taters pups take after the mother or he may have a long hard winter. I will get a hold of you soon, you boys keep them in shape. I had another dog killer last evening, drizzling rain & I was in a pine thicket the beetles had destroyed & nothing left but a mess. I had the old dogs that trip & it was a good steady roar from 3:00 to 8:00. These rabbits are running the best they have in years around here this month, if I was superstitious I might not change my underware...scratch that thought. Well, I will have the pups after them all day tomorrow, going to our honey hole Darrin.
See you boys down the road,
Plowboy

It's your story Plow, you can tell it anyway you want.

As for the good running, I've had good running this week as well. I can't figure it out. The dogs have either turned it on a little better or the rabbits are wanting to come out and play more. Who knows?
Whatever the reason, it sure has been fun. Talk to you soon Plow.

To Plow, I have a couple question about a female I think you own Lakato Faith. How does she run and whats her size. We just got a female out of Faith and Spanky thats about 3 years old.

Big Boy,
Is it Plowboys Honky Tonk Angel or the stud fee pup that went back to Elmers buddy. I started Angel if it was her, she was making a fine hound but I just had too many so I sold her to Tom Wingfield in Missouri, he finished her out so I don't know exactly what she made but his reports were he was happy with her & even bred her this past Fall. If it was the female that went back for stud fee, I don't know a thing about her, she was only 8 wks old when she left here.
As for Faith, she was medium speed & pretty solid, extra good hunt but needed another gear. She threw pups better than her, I had a female from her Named Rose that was very good & J.B. Maynard has had some out of her, I got her from J.B. when she was already old just for the purpose of breeding her, if I remember correctly the breeders of record of Faith were, Doug Bragg & Bud Glyshaw.. Rose had a stroke last summer while running, you could not make her quit regardless how long or often she was hunted, she was a great jump dog & I really miss her, I have kicked myself for not picking her up sooner on a hot morning, the humidity just got her.. I only got to breed Rose once, to my Yates male & wouldn't you know 4 males no females. Ricky Taylors has 2 of the males now, 1 went to Jack Stewart & was killed by car & 1 went to C.H. Honeycutt & is an awesome hound, that I have got to see perform, I will be breeding to him next Spring.
Let me know which female it is, I think Elmer was training the stud fee female for the guy that owns Spanky, he could probably tell you all about her.

Big Boy,
to give you a little more info on Faith.
Her sire was Singing Sam Patch by Kings Pal Patch II x Kings Freckles Patch. This is all linebred from Andersons Patch, thats why I bred her to Spanky because his sire was Sandyline Booger Patch also linebred Andersons Patch.
On the bottom side she is from Dons Highland Star Patch out of Pennyroyal Patch Casey x Glyshaws Dark Star Patch.
Faith was 13" pretty good made outfit, Brown & White with medium bone. She died about a year & half ago.
The pup out of her & Spanky I had , Angel made a stout built 14" female that had pretty good wheels, I am not sure about the other female as far as size or build, as I said she was just a baby when I gave her for stud fee.

To any of you guys looking for a Patch pup and don't find what your looking for I'm planning on breeding 1 maybe 2 bitches this month. These
are all 100% Patch and pretty good ole pot-lickers.Pups will be as good or better than sire & dam. If you think your looking let me know before they all get gone.I'll post more when I make the cross, around mid-May.
