Request for Homecoming Puppy

Post by Vickie »

I just got this email today from breeders.net. My pups will be too old for her or I would just give one to them! Maybe somebody is planning on pups about that time and if we have to, we call all pitch in and get the pup to them. Here is the information I got from her. If you can help let me know and I'll send you her email address.

"hello. My fiance is in iraq and there is nothing he would like more then coming home to a new beagle puppy. I am looking for a female that will be able to come home with me the last weekend in july or the first in august becuase he will be coming home the second week in aug. I would like the puppy to be 6-8 weeks old..im not sure how young i can get it but i want it as young as she can be. My fiance likes to train dogs he is very good with dogs and he like to get them young..if you could please help me..it would be very much appreciated. female tri-color...if you think you will be expecting puppies then please contact me back as soon as possible so i know if i have to keep looking"

"thanks for contacting me so soon i really appreciate it...Kenny does hunt. But we are basically just looking for a pet..im sure he would bring it with when he hunts...but a hunting backround for the dog is not necessary.we just want a beagle, we were looking for a puppy a year ago when he called to iraq. I stopped looking..i dont think its fair for me to raise the puppy on my own when he loves dogs. The puppy will pretty much be our wedding present to ourselves...thats why i want to have it at the house a few days before he comes home. He would be so happy. I miss him like crazy and want something for him when he comes home. it means a lot that your willing to help. let me know what you find. and thanks again...and i will deff. give him a great big hug :)"

They will be in Bismark, ND.

Hope we can help them out!

New puppy

I sold a pup sired by FC Smokes Creek Syris McGee to a guy in Bismark a couple of years ago. He's a Lawyer up there. I'll contact him and see if he can help.
Once upon a time, a man asked a girl " Will you marry me?" The girl said " NO." and the guy lived happily ever after and ran his dogs as much as he wanted to.

Guys I'd like to help out as well. I won't have any puppies, but there's probably going to be some expense involved. Shots, shipping, perhaps a new crate....
Vickie if you'll ramrod this thing, I'll help out any way I can.

Thanks everybody! I knew the wonderful people on this board would help out. I'll send her the link to this post and let her know she doesn't have to worry about finding a puppy. I'm sure she has enough to be stressed out about without that too.

Thanks again!!!!! :D :D :D

Vicki, I have Boomer in with Angel as we speak. That would make the timing real close, the pups would be about 12-14 weeks old by the time he comes home. A little older than she requested but if there is a successful breeding you know you could count on me to give away a pup.
Feel free to keep me in mind and I'll post when I'm positive she took.

Thanks for posting this Vicki

Take care

Thanks Goes. Yep, I know I could count on you! She emailed me back and is very excited. She is in CA right now and will start moving into her new house in ND in April. It never ceases to amaze me how many wonderful people are out there. You only ever hear about the terrible stuff.

Thanks again!

I talked to the guy last night in Bismark, ND about possible pups. Sorry, he doen't have any plans on breeding this year.

Thanks Chris. I know we will find a pup for them. Who knows, maybe one of my other girls will come in sometime around the end of April. I missed them this winter. I think we'll be able to make a happy homecoming and a happy wedding for this young couple!

One of the girls that works with Doc S has a cabin in the Black Hills. I'll check and see if they plan on going out sometime in August. That might be one way to get a pup to her.

I've got all kinds of ideas going.

Thanks again!

goes,

The pup is not for me. I am just happy to see that you all are willing to support a fellow military member. I am not in Iraq. All of the news is negative and is just good to see that people actually support the military.

Hi Redd48,

I think I can speak for everybody ... this is a very small price to pay for what Kenny and Sasha are doing for the rest of us!

I got a note from Sasha this morning. She got to talk to Kenny. Here is her note:

im going to rescan and then send you the pics again.... I finally got a phone call from kenny. He is in bahgdad right now. He was told he may be able to come home in early july. so the puppies that man will be having will be probably the perfect age for me to get one right before he comes home...anyway im going to go and give him mom a call and let her know he's doing alright and that he misses her. It really felt good to hear his voice, I havent heard his voice in about two months now. Letters are mainly all i have right now keeping me going. Sure is hard. Im not from San Diego, and really dont know anyone. so u keeping in contact and being so open to me and warm is really helping...thank you...i really beleive you are an angel..

Goes! Your pups might be the perfect age for her. I bet they would really enjoy that book too!

It feels pretty darn good to help somebody else, doesn't it?????

Vickie,
Great of you to be involved with this all. I know you most assuredly have your hands full just at the moment!(BTW...Hope all is well with Dee. PM or e-mail me if needed.) If I can be of help in anyway, let me know. I will be doing some breeding this year. I don't need pups, but have females that need to have a litter so will be looking for a way to let loose some pups.
Take care,

Vickie,
I thought I'd throw this out to you too. My female is also due at the end of April and I'm willing to provide the pup. I guess the only problem is location. WV is a lot farther away from ND than goes is. Let me know if I can help with this.
Good Luck,
