Snow Hare Hunting in NY

Looking for a good place to go and run Hare in New York just wanting some information if there is any place like going to the U P in MI. any information on this would be nice, thinking of going there next year.

If you have the time, you might want to consider Maine. I've hunted New Hampshire and Maine, but I don't much know about New York.

I live in NY . They are still here but not in large numbers.Best population is in the Adirondacks going north towards Canada. I hunt all private land so can't help with names of state land but traveling up towards Plattsburgh look's good.There is a guide in the Adirondacks that maybe a option.

I have hunted in New York a couple of times. Once near Lowville and the other time in Clinton county. We ran hares both places but nothing like the UP. i would reccomend making the drive to Maine. Clinton county was the better of the two if you are set on New York. It is a shame they have ruined the best hare hunting I have seen in the UP with the wolves.

Chip, head north to maine. Tons of hare. When I hunted deer up there, I would see alot more hare then deer.
Google maine hare hunts, I'm sure you will find some good guys.

Pine View? the place we stayed and hunted was Pine Grove Lodge near Bingham, Maine. We had a good time. The hunting was good and the cabin and food provided by the lodge was excellent. They also had a barn to keep the dogs in.

I live in southern Maine . We have hare in all of Maine but the best places are up in northern Maine . If you just want to run hare and not shoot a lot of them there are some good places in southern Maine.

I know right There are hare in Maine but the extra 8 hr ride each way might not be worth it when comparing the two states.
