Cattle tags for beagles

Post by Oak Hollar Kennels »

I have heard a lot of people using cattle tags for there beagles for keeping fleas and ticks off. I am interested in trying it but I have some questions for the people who use them on your beagles. Have they ever hurt any of your dogs like have they gotten the dog sick or messed up. Do you put it on the outside of the collar or the inside? Do you use the on dogs that are kept together? And do you use the full tag or cut the tag in half? Thanks in advance

I use about 2/3 of the tag. Cut the tab part off, cut two slits in it and slide the collar through. About half the tag is against the dog and the other half outside the collar. Never had any issues with it affecting health or other dogs chewy it off. Just my experience though
