R.I.P. Art Beamer

Post by SNOWDOGS1 »

Heard Art passed away on Dec. 30th at 85 years old after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Art was a beagling legend in the northeast. He owned numerous FC's and IFC's most notably Awful Bawlin Viagra, Maple Lane Itchy Bawls and others throughout the years. I didn't know him real well personally, but he made an impression when I used to trial. Art was a character. I remember him carrying beer in his fishing creole at the trials and would occasionally offer you one (the cheapest beer you never heard of, but it was appreciated). His unique calling of his hounds that didn't handle very well of LOOK, LOOK will still echo in my mind. He was a true houndsman and dedicated to the sport. They don't make many like him and the beagling community has lost one of the old time greats. Art I hope the running is check free in the big grounds in the sky. R.I.P. and my condolences to his family and friends.

Art was great family man who never met a stranger. A true sportsman who had several great dogs. I will never forget the look on my wife's face when Art's granddaughter told her that her grandfather has Ichy Bawls
