3/4 in collar 7.5oz of weight suppose to be just like the t15. That's all I was told yesterday except dealers can start ordering come the 23 of July. Havent seen a demo but have talked with a gal that has. Says not as much range as it big brother but nice and light weight and seems to not beat on the dogs legs as bad. So I guess we will see in a week. That's really all the info that I got. But all the vendors there yesterday said the same thing of being able to place orders on the 23

Or dogs that didn't run away or chase deer....   Actually I haven't really needed to garmin very much in the past couple years because my dogs are pretty broke unless someone elses dog starts that crap. But ever since I bought one, I get antsy when I don't use it. They suckered me into it and now I am hooked like a heroin addict.

Same here....I don't like running without them. I ran without them once this year because I loaded them in the wrong vehicle and even though I was in a fenced enclosure I still ran all over the place to keep an eye on the dogs. I get upset enough when I forget to hit new hunt so I don't know how many miles each dog ran that day....technology is great but it's easy to get addicted to it.

Not as much range as it's big brother....That's unfortunate. We routinely lose signal while running hare with the current collars range, cutting that down could render them pretty useless.

Everything that Jeremy is saying is right the weight is 7.5 ounces and the TT-15 weight is 9.0 ounces it is on a 3/4" Collar and is suppose to go down smaller in neck size. But the range is suppose to be half the distance as the TT-15 and the price of theTT-15 Mini is the same as the TT-15. That is all the information that I have gooten or that I know?
Will be able to order them after July 23rd?

Is halfthe range bad? What are people REALISTICALLY getting in hunting conditions with the other collars?

I lost service at about 900 yards in Maine. there is a ton of overhead cover that could make you lose signal. I also lost signal on a hound that drowned in a river temporarily at 697 yards...but picked him back up at the bottom of a river...six plus feet deep....from 475 yards until we walked right to him with the help of the Alpha.

In my normal hunting situations, in WV, I have not lost service at all out to 700 yards....this was in spring on a buck rabbit. it kept track the whole time. I do stay up on my dogs, reasonably close.

My uncle uses them on coonhounds and with after market antennas gets about a 1.5 mile plus range..here in wv.

Hope this helps.

Honestly, I cannot see the very small difference in the collars being worth losing range...just me, but when you put them on the dogs correctly they may hit there legs, but it is minimal to nothing from what I have seen.

So if I'm reading this correctly half the range is 4.5 miles (9/2 = 4.5) or 7920 yards. Which is still greater than BCBeagles 900 yard drop. Hopefully its not half of what people are actually getting ... yikes

I've tracked them to a mile and a quarter before....so give or take 2000 yards in PA. In Maine, my 40's start going out around the 1k mark, sometimes sooner depending on the spot. So if we are dealing with collars dropping at the 500 yard mark, I'd be NOT connected to my collars more than I would be connected during the hunt...for 2 ounces. No thanks. All my hounds are on the bigger side anyway so it really doesn't matter to me.
