I hear Sportdog has excellent customer service. I would call them and see what they can do for you. If they can't help you out... send it to the Collar Clinic and they should be able to fix it.

Call sport dog, every time one of my out of warranty items have an issue, they have let me have a new for 50.00.

Just recently had a problem with my 2500 transmitter. Called sportdog they wouldn't repair it. Said they didn't have any parts to repair it. They did offer a discount on a new set. I called all the collar repair places and they couldn't work on it either. So I posted on some classifieds looking for a new transmitter and was lucky to find one brand new. Goodluck.

Friend of mine had the same exp. as catmaster. Don't think I'll be buying a Sport Dog!
