Astro 320 with Classic 70 (G3) Collar

Post by rmassella »

Does anyone run their Classic 70 (G3) receiver together with their Astro 320 on the same collar to help save on the number of collars needed to wear on their beagles? Just thought I would see what people thought or how they set up their collar system on their hounds.

I have to run them on seperate collars as the dogs necks are to small to have both shock and tracking ssytems on the same collar.

I turn the dc 40 around backwards on the collar (antenna towards buckle) and put the exp on next to it as close as you can on the same collar and it will fit the smallest dog. The dc 30s are more of a challenge but can be done. I moved the satellite antenna over next to the vhs antenna, you have to hide the wires under the back plate, use the long probes on the exp and they will work on one collar for larger beagles. I took my dc 50 and removed the middle plastic piece for the antenna, cut 2 holes in the middle piece for the probes, again using the longer probes on the exp, and mounted the exp in between the battery compartment and the satellite antenna. All 3 work fine, the dc 40s work on smaller dogs, the other two only work on my larger dogs.
Thanks,
Bob
