EXTREME STAMINA??

Re: EXTREME STAMINA??
25 years ago or more I ran with the best patch hound that I have ever seen Pennyroyal Patch Casey better known around here as Stupe , he was a real nice hound. I have had some patch over the years but just not my cup of tea, they were tough but did'nt give enough mouth and lacked line control jmo. This has been interesting on the feed back , I love to hear all of the opinions. Thanks again

Re: EXTREME STAMINA??
If you had Pine Mt. Chester dogs that don't have stamina then i would guess they were a outcross on one end or the other. Your more than welcome to come watch my hounds run anytime and i assure you they have no quit!chris83 wrote:No disrespect but the 3 we've had, desire grit hunt what ever you wanna call it they lacked the most. I'm sure yours don't or you wouldn't own them. Just didn't work out for me.stavemillbeagles wrote:The Pine Mtn. Chester, And Northway Bred Hounds Have Absolutely No Quit In Them.
Re: EXTREME STAMINA??
Patch hounds are not a lot of guys cup of TEA. I have and run 16, they are my breeding stock, have ran them in many different states.
Five days in a row on Drummond, never slowed down. The beaver pond here will beat them up. They come in lame and go the next morning and do it again, just mix moonshine in the drinkin water. They all have outstanding mouths and use it.
There are some good lines and some bad lines, each fulfilling the owners wants as they feel they need. The type of terrain depicts what you need, I think. Most PATCH folks don`t like mine BUT they get the job done. In these swamps and water you better have a hound that most folks wouldn`t feed, I do
. If you look at my video`s mine have just as much line control as any and at super sonic speed
All bsin aside there are good and bad in all breeds, we all know that, I`m just hooked on PATCH.
Good Runnin

Tsa la Gi has the best Patch I've seen. They can and will run with anything with some get up and go. Do it right. Great mouths too!

Re: EXTREME STAMINA??
Idk I hunt what I have into the dirt for the first for 8 plus days of season and they seem to keep on going. Eyes matted shut ears so sore they won't shake their head. Make sure they're health is up to par and their recieveing an adequate diet. That I'm sure will play a substantial role in their performance as well. Good luck, hope u find what ur looking for.

I would have to say wells woods is more spot on. I know (chappy) has a kennel full of that type of breeding.

Tsa la gi, Don't let him fool ya, beaglestotrack and derick chapko are one in the same.
You can change your name and try to fool people but your ip address still remains the same.

I did, up on the plains. I still don't know how she got away but she is awfully lucky. She's heald up now but you can still see the scars.
Re: EXTREME STAMINA??
Which one was she?
There's a lot of coyotes out on the plains. Did you see it? I'd bet it was a young coyote. Wolf don't like to be bothered by all the action out on the plains, they seem to like the east end of the island seclusion, plenty of deer. The power of a wolf bite don't leave a hound wounded.
Ron, good talking to you.
