Re: dumb ass attach
About 10 years ago I had that happen with my female beagle and my wife's Airdale. Took her straight to a vet and she gave her a shot . Vet did not want to do it but i talked her into it. She was concerned about side effects and said sometimes it messed up their heat cycle. So call around and talk it over with some vets. The shot was successful and I did raise some pups with her after that.

Chances are real good that she will concieve.I would NOT get the vet to administer the"mis-mate" shot. There is a good reason the vets. don't want to give that shot.It can mess up your females reproductive future and there is evidence that these shots can lead to uterine cancer.
If you absolutely don't want to raise the litter......Take them from the bitch as soon as she has them [ don't let them nurse ] and dispose of them in a quick and humane manner.
Restrict her feed and water intake for the next 48-72 hours and she will quickly dry up and return to normal.
Sounds hard core but the best way to deal with an unwanted litter.

Shady grove that is what I was thinking, If I decide not to keep them. You are right about that shot could only find one place out of 6 vets I called that will use it. Bad side affects from the shot possible
