Putting Pictures online?

Post by New York Hillbilly »

I know y'all are much more sophisticated at the computer and bow to your superior knowledge. I also know you have been down this road before showing others how to get pictures online but I have not had the courage or ambition to give it a go. If someone would have the time to step by step the process on the computer I will print them out and give it an honest effort. I am no braver nor am I any more ambitious at this point but do have many pictures I would like to share and think you would enjoy. So if somebody could help me out I would appreciate it.
Thank you in advance,
NYH

first you need to find a photohosting site you can download your pics to try
http://www.hunt101.com/
after you download it you find it and click on the pic then at the bottom it will say right click and select copy then you come back here and right click and select paste and it should put your pic on here when you submit itImage

this is the only pic I have on there. someone else will be able to give you more details but if you know how to copy and paste then you can do it. you can also try http://photobucket.com/ but I haven't used that one

I use photobucket.com mostly as hunt101 stays down a lot.Open an account with either one and then you will see a upload picture button, click on that and then click on browse and select the picture from your computer(just like attaching a picture to an email) and then click submit and it will upload the picture to your web host(photobucket or hunt101) Once it is uploaded highlight the picture address(url under picture) click copy. Now come here and click on the little box that says Img above your message body, now click paste, then click on the Img* button again and you should have it.Another step is to click on the picture address that has the Img already included and copy it and then just come here and click paste in your message body and it should come up.Once you've done it a time or two it is really simple.

To make them smaller you will have to do that with before you upload them to photobucket.I don't know what program you might have to resize them.I have Corel Photo that I sometimes use and I also have Kodak Easy Share that came with my digital camera and that's where I size them to different sizes.Sometimes you can email a picture to yourself and it will resize it but sometimes it doesn't.You should have a program on your computer where you can resize pictures.Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I have Kodak Easy Share, that I got with my digital. How do you downsize your pictures? I would also like to be able to put a little picture at the side of my post. Could you or anyone else give me advice. Just turned 60 and I think all, aal, oldtimers kicked in. :P
