they are going to be bad in Mississippi this year looks like also. I've gotten several on me already while turkey hunting and my hounds in pens have gotten a few, already treating pens and surrounding area

I use the Python cattle tags ( purple). Fold them in two length ways and squeeze the plastic rivet that is supplied with them through the other side and slide your collar through them. I have found a few ticks on my dogs, but they were shriveled up and DEAD!

There are some guys on another board said they sprayed their clothes only with a product called duranon or permanon said it worked great kept the ticks off.

Like the other fellows stated here in KY ticks are absolutely terrible. I went to trail last weekend pulled about 10 of the blood suckers off me two were already stuck in. I am getting were i dont even hunt during summer had two of my dogs get tick disease last year my male still is 100% yet.

I am finding fewer ticks this year, or maybe they are just late coming. Last year, deer ticks were really bad by mid-March, even right around the kennels. This year I am finding almost none near the kennels and only a few when out hunting. So, I am sure the hard winter had an impact on them in SE Ohio. I'm not sure what is worse....a bad winter or lots of deer ticks.
