i agree its a gamble ive gave many dogs pups and started dogs and some older retired dogsthat were still in good healthand mindset to be good gun dogs still to lotts of young folks. and its about 50 50 about half have took up the sport and the other half lost interest so know if i think a youngin might want to get in the sport ill give them half interest in a dog and let them take it to there house and if they keep that hound in good heaith and run them . i will give them the whole dog. or sell them my half cheep. but only after iam surethey are going to stay in yhe sport . if they dont i just get the dog back and keep it or sell it . this has worked well for me.
I will not follow where the path may lead; but I will go where there is no path, and leave a trail. LORD HELP ME BE THE PERSON MY DOG THINKS I,AM!!!

I don t know if we can over come the phone.I ve never seen so many that are trying to do anything with that phone texted, face book, tweeter. You can take them hunting ,give them a pup,but that phone will be in the way. What I ve seen its like dope. There hook on it.I ve said one time on here about the birds and bee why a lot don t hunt, but now its the phone. If we can find out how they can shoot a rabbit with that phone so they can show there friends then we might be on to something. But the way it is now.We cannot compete with that PHONE.

The sport is not dying . Come try to find a place to hunt where we hunt. You will change your mind about the sport dying. But I do agree about getting kids involved. Giving a kid a beagle really does help them get involved with the sport. Eddy Williams had given my son a pup when he was I believe 6 yrs old. My son is now 11 and rabbit hunting is one of his favorite things to do. So for this I would like to Thank Eddie again.
