tail docking
What do you guys think about docking tails with bands any input would be helpful
Re: tail docking
Done it several times, worked out very well, would do it again if needed.
Be sure to trim hair back around area to place band. I then applied alcohol for about a week to area to sterilize and help continue the drying process.
I applied vaselin once tail fell off for about a week or so. Looked great in the end of it all.
I hunted mine while banded. One of my buddies dogs tails feel off while running and it was banded. Dog acted no different even that day.
Good luck!!

Re: tail docking
Piece of cake
Get ya a calf band
Put it inbetween the desired joint in the tail
And pull all the hair to the outside of the band
Where there is no hair between the band and the tail
Works good
U can go run uim as soon as u put the band on because
His tail wont bleed out no more
