The quality control seem to come and go in these feeds.
We'd been on the pro pride 21/17 till last month then the quality went down and we switched to the pro 26/20. Sometimes you get a ton thats really good, then you'll get a ton that really crummy (literally).

Going to run hare, it's good to hit the butcher shop for beefscrap and fat. Early years we boiled the hare carriage after taking off the backstraps and legs, chopped it up and poured the broth over the feed. Hounds burn tremendous energy and fat reserves hunting everyday.
One my buddies shortened up the collar on his hound 3 notches one year after running hare.

I'm feeding Pro Plan now but i only have 2 dogs at the moment . It gets expensive i couldnt imagine if i had to feed 5-7 dogs on that stuff. The dogs do seem to do great on it and they eat it right up only down side is cost

My dogs look good, I feed and always will Victor. I like the purple bag for my dogs, it's 26/18.

quit feeding diamond bout 6 years ago when it started killin dogs from bad corn or bacteria what ever it was started feeding black gold in the black bag 26/18 and never stoped its great feed it cost 30.00 for a 50 pound bag i get it in bardstown at ices produce if u compare the price for 50 pounds it is really not that bad compared to purina pro plan which is more then that for 37.5 pounds which my wife bought for are wiemeraner which is in the house and she would have good stools for several days then all the sudden a few loose stools we put her on black gold and have not had any probs great feed i rank it right up there with eukanuba and other top brands with a big difference in the price i have also heard good things about the victor brand

I switched from diamond along time ago because of the dogs dieing and didn't want it to happen to line and switched to sports mix but wasn't on that long due to dogs couldn't hold weight very well and switched to Pride and I love it and it doesn't hurt the wallet to bad at $21.50 a bag and dogs look good on it.

Guys I recently talked with our local Sportsmix Dogfood Rep. And he told me about their new line of Wholesole dog food's.
There is 3 different varieties , chicken/lamb or fish & rice. Each one has no corn base/ or soy. Said that it will put the weight on your trial dogs & produce less waste.
Be sure & check them out, said even if you mixed this food with the stamina or hi pro. You would be very satisfied.

I have a couple dogs that are hard to maintain weight on. So thought I might give this a try
According to him. This is a very big hit it in coon hound's.
Just passing this on. As they sponsor our hunts. I am happy to pass on any info he let's me know

Feed VICTOR dog food 30/20 blue bag for puppy's and Running dog's had to cut-back to 1 cup because putting to much weight on. Was feeding the purple bag and tried the red bag all was good but I'll think I will stay on the blue bag and cut back if they put to much weight on.

The cheapest Victor we have available is $33 per bag(blue) going up to $47 per bag(fish). I give some a try but the bank couldn't stand it. and I got tired of eating noodles...
The best answer I found was to have them open a bag on the pallet, if the bag was good, the whole pallet was good for that run. If the bag was grainy or crummy, most likely the whole pallet was on that run and I'd check out another pallet.

Did you join the pro club? Once you get enough weight circles to get the Pro Club checks sent to you for 7 bucks off, it doesn't hurt as bad.
