Re: How bad u wanna WIN
darn, a lot of posted happened while I was typing. Still stand by my winded statement. haha
The way I see it is that it really doesnt matter when the stake comes out. If the hound is over 15, its is over 15. Think of it the other way: if the hound was allowed to win and win and win but be over 15, then the precedent is that it is allowed to be over 15 but only if its not WAY over 15 because then its obviously not within standard.
Arbitrary rules are the bastion of cowards; but I'd rather have an arbitrary rule than no rule at all.

Re: How bad u wanna WIN
If the hound measured in, then there seems to be a stake problem or a problem doing the measuring. I was more so responding to some earlier posts about how the 15" rule was not necessary.

I was one of the 3 judges of this 3 dog final cast of the grands. The dog was measured in. The Master of Hounds measured the hound and i was the one to read it off to everyone and even show the measurement to all. The rule is 15inch or below. He was below 15inchs.

When the moment of truth arrives, the point of preparation has passed.

Think about this home skillet, how many times has that dog been measured in to make grand? Only to be measured out once! Chicken $hit call boys. On the other hand I won't run with WFO dogs because how ugly they are

Re: How bad u wanna WIN
Why wait til the stake at the world? The dog has measured in everywhere else . It sounds like their afraid of the heat that comes from KY. They can't hang or handle the pressure.
Re: How bad u wanna WIN
he measured 14 7/8" the dog has a card and has been measured by master of hounds at the world.this should make him a real official hound and not a money maker like the orange card. i was told two rounds earlier if he made it to the finals he would get measured. sounds like some talking went on to encourage this dog to be measured. he is a big dog14 7/8 to be exact, but most of them are.

I was there also,, looked like a cheap chicken crap move to me..If I had to win a hunt by last round measuring I would stay home..If your scared just say your scared..Measure before the hunt and then drop it..

So let me get this right,
The hound measured in at the beginning of the hunt but when the cast gathered it and was questioned it measured out?
