I shot one time and killed one rabbit.
I know a local guy who hunts almost every day. He and his friends killed over 400 rabbits this season. They killed 57 the last week of the season. He said tht he loves rabbit, will eat it for breakfast. In addition he owns a country market and gives many rabbits to older folks who come through his store. He doesn't waste them.

I killed two this year over a pup after deer breaking early on this season that was the most Ive killed in a few years. Glad rabbit seasons over let the real and good running begin. I absolutely love rabbit so does the wife good thing is there are a few hunters around here that dont and keep me in fresh supply all year.

113 so far. 1 month to go. Don't usually shoot many in March. Had some real nice hunts with 10-15, adds up pretty quick. Takes 4 a meal to feed my crew and my dad is always asking for 2. Wanted to have 25 in the freezer for a few meals this summer but with the price of beef we ended up just eating more rabbit.

Me, my sons and a couple of friends killed around 40. I had tons of fun and got a couple of new running buddies. I didnt get to go as much this year as I have in the last few years but when I got to go, I had a great time.

Hey mybeagles did you notice alot more rabbits this year compared too the last 2 years? I know we did, we only got around 60 the 2 years prior when we usually get around 100. Our 2 best hunts were 27 & 25 rabbits killed.

I have been out of country 5 of last 6 years so hard for me to say. I will say we went to a couple farms that held very healthy populations. Some spots seemed normal, and a couple spots they were a little scarce. This may be partially due to habitat. Some tree harvesting on a few places created some incredible habitat.

I hunt with 5 different guys with dogs, and we split up and go different ways a lot of days so I'm not sure how many we got all together, but on the hunts that I was on we killed 172,and missed 10 times that many.We had a pretty good crop of rabbits here in Ms this year.
