I recently bought three bags of Buddy Boy dog food..It's in a yellow bag 24/20..I think I paid around 21 a bag for it, but I buy it from a deer club where they order three to four pallets of it at the time.

My dogs are doing well on it so far.

If quality dog food gets to expensive ,it might be time to cut back on the number of dogs you are feeding.

Joeyman, the Premium adult i have never fed, the Hi Energy you better be runnim em hard or they will pack on the pounds with that stuff. All you can do is try it, there are better feeds but there are also worse feeds, its how YOUR hounds perform on it.

Google dog food advisors . There it will give you every dog foods breakdown out of 5 stars being the best. You will be able to see what foods have high ratings and witch one don't. From there you can cross reference prices to the ratings . That what i did not that i know much anyway.but it lead me to diamond dog food . This foods ratings in the natural formula was 4 out of 5 stars that a well above average review. The lower grade diamond was still 2.5 out of 5 stars thats better than average review. And when you look up the 2 star dog food you will find out that's were most dog food that were taking about is below average . Im not saying diamond is the best. And yes the recalls scared me but my dog thrive on it . Tons of energy and stool is dark and hard. Ive feed chicken and rice naturals . But I've fed the hi energy and the yellow and green performance blend in the cheaper formula and dogs did great. Feed what you like just wanted to post my opinion . I feel any dog food can have a recall at any given time and Im not sure but if you look there has been recalls on other manufactures before .Jmo hope that the dog food advisor site will help you find a good food for a good price .

I try to use food that don't have corn in it. Diamond is about the only reasonable priced one around here. My dogs won't eat Purina One. Diamond here is made at Meta, MO. The salmonella problems they had was dog food that was made in S. Caralina, I believe. And then I heard it was because kids were dippin it out with their bare hands & not washin their hands good afterwords. Just what I heard. I've had good luck with it. Diamond also has an "Extreme Athelete". Good for runnin time, but too hot for summer, unless you cut back on the amount. I like the "Diamond Maintenence" for the summer. Alot of guys around here feed Black Gold. but the 2nd ingrediant is corn. 3 of my dogs did ok on it-the other 2- not so much.

Nothing wrong with Diamond Hi Energy. Thats all you'll find anyone arounnd here feeding Joey. We order 2 pallets at a time and spread it around to about 10 different guys here in North MO that have hounds. We've tried them all and the Hi Energy Diamond regardless of what a few think has kept our hounds in really good shape and full of energy.
Take your kids huntin and you wont have to hunt for your kids.

Purple bag of Diamond Hi-energy here as well, but i have now decided to switch to raw, I have no complaints about Diamond except the amount of waste, I feed a 50# bag and I get 44 lbs of waste i swear!!! The dogs like it, but I think they have been enjoying the round steak and old beef roasts the last couple of days too!!!

Joey,yes ole roy at walmart.
Diamond is a very good dog food, excellent ingredients for the money, I just find it hard to buy into a company that does not stand behind its product, when there was a problem, they ran from it ,instead of compensating people. Not want i want to be a part of, again just my opinion.
