Gun control or nut job control???

Re: Gun control or nut job control???
Last week on Dec. 14th in China a man injured 22 school children with a knife. In 2010 a man in China killed 20 school kids and injured 50. These were all with a knife. There seems to be a pervasive evil that has infested many societies around the world. I don't understand it or know where it comes from but I can recognize that it is here.
That said, I am discusted by the talking heads/ politicians who capitalize on events like this to push an agenda. Like I showed earlier, guns aren't the only way people kill each other. Seems to me we have a society that has some level of sickness and in the current enviornment gun control would seem to make some sense.
However, I am a firm believer that people shouldn't make decisions in a distressed state. Its hard to be logical or rational when emotional. We really need to step back and look at the whole issue...guns are just a small part of a much bigger issue.
For one thing, if we value children so much, why are the doors wide open at schools to predators to come and take advantage. I got an idea...lock the doors or put in a buzzer systems. Also, why aren't the talking heads bringing up having guards in schools or more security measures to access classrooms. Instead all we hear about is take the guns away and problem solved...well I call bullsh#t. If they can't use guns they will use knifes or something else..
I'm just tired of everytime a bad guy does something...I lose my rights or they are put on the choping block.

I think our society doesn't hold anyone accountable for their actions....when I was in school if u did wrong u got ur ass busted then when I got home it was even worse....I got a lot of that but it wasn't because I didn't know the consequences....I'm a slow learner and it took me a while to straighten up but I did....when their are no consequences to face until u get out into the real world then u fear nothing....there are too many momma and daddy's tht bail their kids out of trouble when they should be making them go get their own switch when they act up like I had too....I feared my father when I was growing up but it was a good fear it taught me right from wrong....there is no fear in today's children...who is scared of timeout....if I would have been put in timeout all that woul have done is give me some time to think of my next act of mayhem

Timothy McVey took the lives of several people including small children at a day care when he blew up the federal building in Oklahoma City yet we can still by fertilizer, diesel fuel and delayed timers.
I was truly saddened by the shootings as I have a grand daughter that will be 5 in January and I could not imagine my life without my Princess.
Here in Michigan a bill was just sent to the Governors desk that would allow concealed weapons to be carried in Churches, Schools and other areas that are off limits. I personally think that it is a good thing but a lot of people do not.
How far do you think the shooter would have gotten if a teacher would have been armed.
Our Governor said that he would veto this bill.

Many of s have Facebook and I am sure like me your seeing a thousand post on ban guns, blah blah blah,, here is one of the latest on mine:
I see there are 2 school bomb threats 1 other threat to kill people at schools today, but since a gun hasn't been used today the anti gun bandwagon is silent, probably waiting on stand by. Maybe people should get on the "why aren't people raising children with morals and values anymore" bandwagon??? Guess change isn't the real agenda, huh?

Justin Peyton Thats like taking spoons from fat people and thinking the fork wont do as much damage.. I dont get it other than a bunch of people jumping on the ban gun bandwagon because it is easier to do that then to get to real problems with our society.

What is most disturbing to me is the whole "propaganda" of anti gun people whose sole agenda no matter what happens immediate waves their flags to fight their cause, taking tragic events and protesting as if a gun ban would stop killings, which last I checked Mexico had a gun ban, yet have plenty and mass killings everyday and just to help them out, our government dropped off a load of weapons. '
Chicago, New York etc. has already tried it the bandwagons way and yet they fail to notice that it did not work and murder rates there are higher than any in the country.
All the big time colleges, scientist, big wigs of intellectual knowledge, and the best we can come up with is "ban guns" , makes a man want to move to Switzerland where every one is armed with military issued rifles and yet not running around killing everyone and debating rather it is guns or idiots that would be to blame.

Re: Gun control or nut job control???
Pray to whom? jesus, budda, allah, the mormon god they think is jesus etc...??? Thats a terrible idea and an illegal one at that.. If you want your kids to be religious, teach them from home. As a licensed minister I think organized religion should be separate from the state. I would be unbelievable pissed off if my kids were forced to pray to allah and I am sure the muslims in my community would be pissed if they couldn't pray to their God creating more conflict.PREACHERS KENNEL wrote:let god and respecting people in authority back in our lives and that will fix alot of things. // start the class off with prayer each day ....that can only help .
These shootings have less to do with prayer and more to do with the fact parents are not willing to discipline their kids.

This school actually had some kind of security system to where the doors were locked at 9:30 AM and you had to ring the buzzer and be cleared to get in. I believe he just shot the door down.PrideHillKennel wrote:For one thing, if we value children so much, why are the doors wide open at schools to predators to come and take advantage. Stricter gun laws will make no difference IMO

automobile accidents caused by texting drivers will kill way more kids this year than guns will; why arent we sponsoring legislation to ban cell phones?

POSITIVELY ABSOLUTELY 100% CORRECT!!!! I experienced the same double butt beatings u did as a kid, never did anything bad but was definitely mischievious. I love when im in a store and i hear the dad or mom say im gonna count to 3 and you better stop. As i walk by, i simply tell them beat his/her behind, then they will stop. You wont believe the looks i get from the parents.

Re: Gun control or nut job control???
Sad state we are in when all these children are killed and right away they want gun control. How do you stop some nut, that has no value for even his own life. There is no way to stop someone of this mindset of trying something like this. You can only stop this by using force. As a school is a weapon free zone this draws these cowards in as they know there will be a time period of no one to stop them. Get some appropiate firepower in these schools. And let parents disipline their children like they used to. And prepare for a way to protect the children by automatic door locks that lock down all rooms when a shot is fired or when they gain entry. Just trying to hide isn't enough. I saw on tv that some were shot up to eleven times, that rage is sick. You will never deter someone that sick. And it doesn't hurt to have a little religeon in school. We have no problem protecting an armored car, with the almighty dollar in it with armed guards, but when it comes to our children these anti gun nuts do not want to allow guns in schools for the kids protection. Arm the teachers and have plain clothes guards.

Agree. I made a previous post on another thread that shared similar thoughts (among others):likeemfast wrote:BG BEAGLER wrote:I think our society doesn't hold anyone accountable for their actions....when I was in school if u did wrong u got ur ass busted then when I got home it was even worse....I got a lot of that but it wasn't because I didn't know the consequences....I'm a slow learner and it took me a while to straighten up but I did....when their are no consequences to face until u get out into the real world then u fear nothing....there are too many momma and daddy's tht bail their kids out of trouble when they should be making them go get their own switch when they act up like I had too....I feared my father when I was growing up but it was a good fear it taught me right from wrong....there is no fear in today's children...who is scared of timeout....if I would have been put in timeout all that woul have done is give me some time to think of my next act of mayhem

And response of the most prolific post whore on the board, dufus, was:barnold1 wrote:What needs to happen - people need to go back to correcting their kids; principals in the schools need to have the paddle in their arsenal; kids need to be raised to know the difference between right and wrong, to respect authority and realize that there are repercussions for making the wrong choices.
Sorry assed liberals and their pussified ways. Go ahead and take that bozo the clown looking douchebag from his comfy cell in Colorado and string his ass up, along with the other Colorado asshole that recently made the news for killing the young girl, and all the other shitbags that are being defended by the libtards from the "cruel and unusual" punishment of getting the needle. There's not a darn thing wrong with an eye for an eye.

Re: Gun control or nut job control???
So if a child is born backwards should we say should we pinch off it's head and call it a day? What does a persons mind think before he does this act? Really? Guns have been here way before any of us, Matt you and others nailed it, however times are a changing. Now everyone wants to stock up on guns and wait for Dec 21 .
. Boys there has too be away to somehow prevent this sickness. Watch and listen too me in Montgomery county schools there is a Armed policeman there from bell too bell. It has been that way for the last few years. Kids now have no ideal about dick cuz they are to busy on facebook, playstation, and anything else that sucks the brain out of them. It's a me me me world for us all. I honestly think the best defense is a smart offense, arm a few in all public schools why not. What about it? This great country was built on God, Guns and strong faith of a better day. What's changed boys? Us that's what we as a whole are softer than a dish rag. We ain't seen bad yet but it's a Coming hang tuff, be a solution not another problem.

When the moment of truth arrives, the point of preparation has passed.

They are saying now that the mother was trying to have him committed, and thats what set him off.He lived in a dark basement and played shooter vidieo kill games. How would any amount of gun control prevent him from going off.If it wasn't a gun he would of went off with a ax,butcher knife or something else.
