When rabbits got scarce after the big blizzard I took a couple puppies to the guy in Southern MD.
He charged $60.00 a month at the time, once he retired his rate went up to $100.00 a month.
That was the first time I had ever taken a pup to a pen, and the pups were already opening on track
when I took them.
A buddy of mine just picked up puppies from him. Also if your pup kills a rabbit in his pen
he charges about $15.00 for it, I think that should be just part of operations. Rabbits still
aren't real thick in my training area's. I just dropped a few puppies off to a different guy to start.
I usually like and enjoy starting my own puppies. With limited rabbits, work and 8 puppies to start
I need a little help :D . I think as soon as a pup starts barking on track a little the guy in Southern MD calls
you to pick them up. I want them to be able to trail a little when I get them back, as some pups will just bark from excitement.

Yea he tried to get me to pay 10$ for a rabbit my pup killed last year. I Told him yea right.
Usually he will get them started and work them for the rest of the month you pay for. Sometime he pisses me off cause he's a no it all but he is retired and work the pups a good amount. Not just letting them run loose in there all night so i like him. Hes only about 20 mins from the house so that help alot.

5 bucks a day per pup if you bring enough food for dog. Some folks think it is high but I dont keep any pups over 7 days. The worst thing in the world is to leave in a training pen for a month. They learn to many bad habits in my opinion.I work the pups everyday and show them rabbits until started and trying to track a rabbit.Must be doing something right because I stay booked up.
