You should call the us dept of agriculture yourself and see if you can get a kennel license, you might be able to kennel registered and that would supercede the local town codes. Here is NY , although each town has their own limits, you can register with the usda and keep upto 20 dogs, providing you meet their rules, one of which is rabies must be upto date. friend of mine did it, and got certified.. Good Luck
You may also need to incorporate your kennel as it would be considered a business that allows you to but, sell, breed and board dogs.
But you must have the proper facilities to do it, worth it to look into!!
How big is your house? What you can LEGALLY do is divide it or sublet it out. The only legal thing is you have to go to the post office and make it have two mailboxes/po boxes.. Then sublet one of the address to you souse/children or whatever and you can double your dog limits... because you double the residency... I know people who have done it
God isn't real, Beer is good and people are crazy, there I fixed it.
I looked at your kennels on your website, they look awfully nice to me. Everyone wants a bigger piece of the pie. In Kentucky you can stack em on top of each other.lol
When the moment of truth arrives, the point of preparation has passed.
Old School, Full Throttle ,No Bottle.
Mo beagler, that is a good point, I have a similar situation as my property is actaully 2 tax lots, house sits on one and then have a kennel with 2 runs on the other lot, I always keep in mind in case have to use that card.
It works and its legal in Mo.. My dad had a court case with his rots over it and the judge got so mad at the city prosecutor and USDA it wasn't funny...

I would see about getting kennel license before I got rid of my dogs. I have a friend here in KY that had to end up getting kennel license because of a situation like yours and he lived out in the country and not in town. Good luck. Maybe I missed it but why were they ther in the first place?

Fence it in around the kennels where they can't see and use a locking gate they can't go off what they can't see or can't get to!! I know someone who fenced their yard in with privacy fence and then fenced in their kennels and he never had another problem again!!
I hope you get it figured out!! Could also possibly claim dog sitting, or boarding possibly!!
I'd have a buddy keep some of your dogs for a few weeks until this blows over. Building a fence is a good idea. A kennel license in MO is $2500 per year and the requirements are ridiculous. They say its to stop puppy mills but all its doing is hurting honest folks. Good luck.

Be certian your property does not consist of multiple lots before you do anything about getting rid of dogs. The police were here years ago asking me how many I had, was 7 at the time. He asked if I had a kennel license I said no then told me I still might be OK cause I have multiple lots and go see the building zoning guy. Turned out the law says you can have 3 dogs per platted propert and I had 4 lots so they could not do anything unless they could get me on a neglect or nuisance charge. Good luck.

That nuisance charge is SUPER SUPER hard to prove in court.. Any lawyer worth his weight would get you out of that one...
seriously, get it plotted into two separate properties or sublet them.. Problem solved. Plus then if they get you with a nuisance charge, good luck proving which dogs were the nuisance in a court of law...
THE USDA SHIZ HAS GOT TO STOP.... no ones gonna be able to own any animal if they keep going crazy

That sucks!!! Sometimes people need to mind their own business. You aren't running a puppy mill and your dogs are well taken care of.
I tell my non dog having neighbors that if their cats didn't roam through my yard my dogs wouldn't bark. I wouldn't get rid of my dogs
and I would check into what the other guys are telling you to do. What is our world coming to.
