I have a feeling those days may be long gone, my brother. The internet has changed everything and everybody. We used to have to learn things the hard way or at least ask a friend. If that didn't work, back to trial and error.
IMO, everyone that has a computer is now an expert because they either read it or can google it and find what they believe is the truth.
Along with that, respect has been lost along the way. I used to post quit often, but like you, I'm too busy to argue with anyone and refuse to so I just keep to myself.
Bottom line........things have really changed since I joined this board in 05. I hope they return to the good ol days.Of course.......all of this is my own opinion.

I agree, I have been a member of this board for 10 years now and anymore I will read the trial results and congratulate those who have won, but to get in on in depth discussions (and with some of the discussion lately, that term is loosely used), I just don't have time to argue with those who are only there for the sake of argument. I will say that thanks to Bev and this board, I have been able to meet a lot of people, whom without this board, I would not have had the chance to meet and become life long friends with. We used to all cut up and carry on this board and no one ever got mad or offended, people take $hit way too serious now a days. I think a lot of the old school members of this board, with myself included, have lost interest in posting on here due to all the know it alls.........

Its a shame it has to be this way. I am Fairley new to the world of beagles and have learned a ton of stuff from the more seasoned and experanced men on here, and now thay dont want to post anything because somebody thinks thay know it all and will want to contradict what thay say. I know if the board would have been the way it is now 3 years ago i wouldent have joined it. I am a member of several boards and it is the same thing on them all. I hate it has to be this way. I sure haven't forgot the shock collar wars between Joe (in N.Y.w/little Ireland dogs) and Tim the builder in Cincinnati I think it was, I often wondered if they quit posting because of it. As a matter of fact I have wondered why some of the people have come and gone on these boards and I'm sure the B.S. has drove some good ones away.I can do with out the word jousting too, if your arguing a point you believe in about dogs that's fine but to argue for the "sport" of it for lack of a better way to put it no thanks. I suppose when we look back things were much different on these boards for the simple reason we were all different back then as we all are constantly evolving into the next phase of life. I'll keep taking what I need from these boards and leaving the rest, worked for me this long and as they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Put as simply as it can be- its my opinion- formed by my own "hand" so to speak!, and its right and yours is wrong- unless its in total agreement with mine! Whats left to argue about?

I rarely get on here myself anymore. When I do it is like watching America's got Talent and just seeing some guy getting kicked in the junk over and over. May be funny once, but sometimes enough is enough. Lots of great people on this board. Bev does a great job with it too. Sometimes I just miss the olden days lol.

You know folks,

I can't speak for everyone, but for me, life as been a real  . I was busy keeping my house up, providing for and raising my family, going back to college for years while working full time, and helping my kids through college, then a daughters wedding, and finally several job changes with very long commute times and long hours taking care of sick people. This did not leave a lot of time for posting, but I still routinely checked into this site for some respite and memories of fun days, good people I had been fortunate enough to meet and dreams of being able to return to the scene. I suspect most of us go through similar things.

I have to say though I have been  at some of the goings on here since the "good ole days". I'm not saying we were always  and we got pretty :angryfire: at times, but it had a different tone. I don't remember so much personal :bash: for the shear sake of giving someone a public :blackeye: . The motivation behind a lot of what I have read here in the recent past seems motivated by nothing more than  and to deliberately make people :argue: . After caring for people all day in the hospital, the last thing I want to read or post to are so called adults acting in ways that should make them feel :ashamed: not  There are plenty of good people here still, and for years Bev has provided a nice place to get together. Maybe I'm just wishful thinking, but I look forward to a return of the "good ole days".
Peace

I've been on this board for many years and have seen many come and go. I can tell a lot about a person from what I see them continuously write and I can tell you that there are those that when I see their name on a post I stand up and listen and then there are others that I could care less. There's ALOT of great information to be gotten from the right good ole folks posting on this board who are willing to share years of knowledge gained through their experiances along the way. I've learned that in all my years following hounds I've not became an expert yet so I'm always open to listening to others folks experiances with an issue. I NEVER let myself be blinded by kennel, color, size, shape, speed, formatm registry etc. Beagles are just beagles and when you least expect it.......expect it!
