I don't think the first poster said anything about people teasing with him or going on with him in fun.He is talking about someone constantly criticizing his dogs.I run my dogs to enjoy myself not to listen to an asshole.If I want to do that I can talk to myself.dog I agree with your post 100 percent.

No I am pretty blessed in that area.overwhelmingly in my area those are pretty rare at the trials I go to.A lot more good folks than not.

I'm real picky with alot of things other than peanut butter. I run dogs with my cousin only and when I actually hunt it's normally with him only as well. Sometimes his grandson and sons-in-law deer hunt with us BUT they know the rules when they hunt with us. Life is so hustle bustle and when I'm out in the field it is for pure pleasure and relaxation. I've seemed to grow out of that competitive stage and came to the realization that there is always someone better than me, dogs are dogs and ALL people, just as ALL dogs have faults. I've never seen a perfect one yet!

Not directed at anyone. I feel some people don't want to hear the truth when it is negative about their dog. If my dog was doing something wrong and obvious to everyone but me....please let me know . I do understand there are sensitive types , delicate flowers with thin skin that would rather most just bite their tongues. I don't want to be around those types ...must less run dogs with them. I gun hunted with a guy this year that owned Beagles for several years . He had a dog that day we will call 'Ol Roy. In nearly every check 'Ol Roy would pop off on the old line and back track. It cost us several rabbits . The guy had no idea of what the dog was doing. He even said at lunch that 'Ol Roy was really working those hard checks out. Everyone in our group said Nothing and all knew what was going on (including myself). Looking back at it....maybe someone should have pulled him to the side in the field and said something. If it was me , I would want to know. There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism. I just feel there are some that don't want to hear it.

I totally agree , there are those overly sensitive type , but there is also the type that has to critisize and analize everything that is happening and always seem to have an opinion ! i dont like to be around those type of people , thats why i dont trial , thats what a trial is for. there is a huge difference in someone that dont know what is going on and someone that does and dont mind ! i am in no way an expert at this , but i do know what i like , what i dont like , and what im willing to deal with ! when i run my dogs i know when they done something wrong , i dont need someone standing there pointing it out to me ! if i dont like the way someones dogs run , i dont put them or their dogs down , i just dont run with them , its a pretty simple thing to do ! i like to do things the way i like to do them , thats why i do most of my hunting by myself , same with my deer hunting , i take it a little more serious than i do my rabbit hunting and find that i dont even like to be around most other deer hunters , its always a competition with them too ! and yes there are alot of people out there that dont want to hear constructive criticism , unless they ask for it , and i cant for the life of me understand why some people cant comprehend that ! some people just cant keep their mouths shut !

ITS ONE THING TO TALK AS FRIENDS AND SAY DO U KNOW WHAT THIS DOG OR THAT DOG IS DOING BUT THERE IS AWAY TO HANDLE IT . TROY U R VERY LUCKY WHEN I FOX HUNTED I HAD AGROUP LIKE THAT AND WE GOT ALONG GREAT . BUT EVERY ONE CANT TAKE BEING PUT DOWN EVER TIME U GO FROM PEOPLE WHO DONT KNOW WHAT THEY R TALKING I HUNT BY MYSELF BECAUSE SOME PEOPLES DOGS R MOUTHY AND SEVERAL OTHER FAULTS AND I CAN'T TAKE IT . Sensitive types on here?????? NAH, u must be mixing this board up with another one. I can tell you this chevyrebel, if they are your friends just tell them to shut their up and listen to the dogs which is why you guys are out there. If they are your friends which you say they are they will listen. I do 95% of my running alone, my dad is about 70 and dont get out like he used to. Were still together every November almost every day for rabbit hunting but good ole pleasure running is mostly just me. I dont look forward to the day when it is just me cause i dont think it will be as much fun anymore. I look at it this way, wether your best friend is your dad or just a buddy enjoy every day wether their busting your balls or telling a joke or telling you your dog dont hunt.
