Nice! turkey's are alot of fun when they respond to calling. I can't force myself to just go out and sit and wait for them like the dedicated hunters do, just not that much fun for me.
congrats nate. nate and zack will be jealous. i would just as soon run dogs or go to a trial but those boys would skin me alive.have you been getting rawk any tracks?
Its definitely not easy and definitely an addiction. Lee I have got him a few but he is still having trouble getting the straitened out, I am thinking about takeing him to a pen for a few weeks to get him more tracks than I can get him. I'm going to Michigan for a couple weeks and I got some good spots up there, we'll see what happens.

I love turkey hunting....I have killed more birds by just taking a nap along side a tree in the morning sun and waiting on something to happen, calling very soft every 30min or so.
Nothing like run and gunning though....it is like a giant chess match. More times than I can count I have a super hot birds coming in just hammering away making the hair stand up on your arms. Then without any movement, no off calls, or anything out of the ordinary...they just shut up and are gone. Leaves you scratching you head and replaying the event for hours.
That is a very nice bird!!! Congrats....
