Public Hunting in Virginia

Post by MacMaster »

Guys, I need some help! My brother just moved out to the great state of Virginia and he needs some places to run his dogs. He lives by the Norfolk area. IF you know of any public land that he can run on, please list.
Thanks,

Good Luck finding any. Most of the land in this are is used to hunting deer and is leased from International Paper. I belong to a deer clud that i have permission to run on there land after deer season and stuff like that.

Mac,

Tell your brother his best bet is to join a local AKC beagle club. Most in the tidewater area have nice fenced in running areas.

Closest one is in Suffolk but its hard to get in I have been on the waiting list for about a year now. It used to be the Hampton Roads beagle club, the only other one is in Bracy Va whitch is about 3 Hrs from the tidewater area. I have been using a pens Located in Pink Hill Nc. Its a great place and is loaded with rabbits. Ill be going down next weekend to run there if he would like to go and see it. The guy will let 20 dogs run in it at a time and i think there is like 17 or so going right now. He can give me a call if he would like and ill let him know.

Thanks guys I'll send him you numbers cause he's out by himself (we're a close family, so I'm worried about him). He'd love to run.
