Re: Sportsmix???
Where are you guys in se ky getting the 50 lb bags? I can only find 40 lb bags and there 22 and some change. I fed the 26/18 but didnt like it. I prefer the black bag hands down. Good stool and great energy especially when you hunt that 3rd or 4th day in a roll. Dogs look good on it to.

Re: Sportsmix???
I feed 26/18 blue bag for 24.99 a 50 lb bag. I get good results from it, nice coat, good stools, keep weight great all year long, don't get fat even when they don't run for awhile. I feed 2 cups/day per dog normally and will up it to 3/day after a hunt and more if they hunt for multiple days. Pretty pleased with it. Not very nutritional on ingredients but when you got alot of dogs to feed, it does the job well for a good price!

I used to buy that stuff for just a little over $15 a bag about 8 years ago man the price has jumped up on that stuff, and I would never feed it again anyways. You can feed Ol Roy lamb and rice for cheaper than 22-25.00 a bag, and I garauntee you'll get better results with ol roy lamb rice...LOL been there done it! It's not that good of a dog food.

Re: Sportsmix???
thanks guys for the response. 1 person said they feed ol roy, is ol roy hi perforance any good? Has many of you folks feed this dog food?
Re: Sportsmix???
I fed the lamb & rice for the omega fatty acids gave the coats a pretty good shine...and as far as quality is concerned it is the same or better quality feed than sportmix...try it give ur dogs a month of ol roy lamb & rice from sportmix you'll see a noticeable better difference in there coats, and over all health..I am done feeding cheap generic dog foods period I started feeding purina pro plan performance and will NEVER feed anything else again...it's 43.99 for a 37.5lbs bag at tsc but i can get it at a local purina dealer for 36.99 a bag and i joined the purina pro club and get 7 dollar of checks and am getting it for about 31 bucks a bag after tax is added in. People who say they can't afford or won't pay that much need to try it first...get rid of a couple dogs LOL then maybe u can afford to feed it. I'm as broke as the next guy is, you feed less b/c it's better quality food, and you're dogs can stay stronger on less food,. You want ur dog to put out it's best then you need to keep it in good health so that it can give you what you expect it to give you. The first step to good health is a healthy diet right ?? Sure the "good ol boy" who raised hounds on cornbread for 57 years and they was the rabbit runnest fools ya ever seen might disagree, but i'm telling they have'nt raised dogs for 57 years on pro plan yet either...
