We finally found some cottontails and enjoyed about 5-6 hours of running. Randy, Johnny, and I took 10 hounds and ran a couple of spots. We busted several deer but no dogs followed. We jumped 7or 8 and killed 5 including 1 the dogs caught. We put the guns away at noon and a friend, Jack Allen, joined us for a couple of hours of some powerful running. There were almost no breakdowns but 2 or 3 splits - plenty of rabbits. When we got home my wonderful daughter, wife, Daughter-in-Law, and Papa Bear's Baby Bear had a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner ready. What a day! Below Lyla (Baby Bear) checks out a couple of the rabbits. Hard to tell in the picture but one of those rabbits was really big. ROWCO (BOBBY, JOHNNY, RANDY, ANNE, TYANNE, APRIL, AND LYLA) PS. Super Fly had 4 healthy pups (2 boys, 2 girl) while we were hunting. Guess the 1st male should be named Pilgrim.

Re: ROWCO THANKSGIVING DAY
The day after Thanksgiving we tried running another spot we had scouted and found a few rabbits. Two minutes after we turned loose a huge Cayotte got involved and we had to tone the dogs. As we were toning they jumped a rabbit but got confused. About then a ferile cat popped out the other side of the thicket. When the dogs smelled him they quit all together. We moved a couple of hundred yards and jumped a rabbit and they ran him like they were tied to him on a big circle. When he came home they were looking at him and he went to ground in a pushup. After a few minutes of digging and growling without getting him, we called them off and loaded. SOUND LIKE RABBIT HUNTING 2011?
We put them up and took 4 of Randy's (my son-in-law) pups to the the pen to let them run out for the first time. They are the nice pups pictured below. They go back to our old ARHA registered stud Jerry Lee and are great neices and nephews of HOF ARHA GRCH Fork Swamp Butch.
