Beagle size....

I keep what ever i get from a litter be it 13 0r 15 when i pic a pup either
it makes the team or it doesn't regardless of size
and we run in some deep snow too

Drive definately makes up for size in certain instances.The weight ratio to size ratio has me wondering,since all I've owned is larger beagles......I guess it depends on each dog itself ?????

I prefer 13'' hounds. The length of thier legs has less of a chance out running thier nose. Exspecially when they are that much closer to the track. By the way HollarBack. LJ came from Fulcount.

I believe it does depend on the dog itself. I saw a 11" beagle up in Jackman, ME pound hare all day long with bigger dogs....that little bugger was running like crazy. I don't know the owner's full name, we chatted and ran together a couple times up there a few years back by running into each other a few times...his first name is Steve and that little dog is awesome.
