Gunsmoke redtick males...where have they gone ?

Post by Gunslinger Beagles »

I have a friend that is looking for an akc 13 inch class gunsmoke redtick male? I used to see them fairly often years ago but i have started helping on the search and it is tough. Can someone give us a lead, a name, a kennel, a breeder to help with this. To tell you the truth I'm starting to feel like Indiana Jones looking for some world wide treasure. LOL !! thanks in advance mac

Hey Mac,,,, I have had the old gunsmoke Blueticks for about 15 years now . The redticks are only a rare happening in these dogs i only one female that has produced a redtick now and then. There are a few people who have( some )of this blood in there dogs. But to say they go back to (all ) old gunsmoke ,,,,,I don't know of any. If you find one let me know too. If your friend would consider breeding to a bluetick with the hope of getting a redtick to pop up i might be able to help. From what i know the blue is usually dominate over the redtick though. Redtick to redtick is the best chance.

Mac the rebel in that dog may be Rebels last chance. Try Danny Hart at tickledbluebeagles. He has a website on top 100 beagle websites. He can help you. I think you can google it too. tickledbluebeagles.

It probably is Rebel's Last Chance. He threw alot of redticks. I had a pup out of him a few years ago. I think Danny crossed him with his Penny dog several times and got mostly redticks. There is quite a bit of Hank's Jo Jo Blue blood in his pedigree.
