PUPS IN DEEP SNOW VIDEO CLIP

Post by HAREHOUND »

here is a little clip of my violet & reo pups and my dixie dog on hare from yesterday. the 2 pups stole the show and my violet pup (farriers wrangler x shooters page 1) even took it solo for a while. finished with a little cottontail run and they looked pretty good there too.

Nice video! Now I see how the dogs get through deep snow. That takes energy!

Harehound, very nice. The one out of Shooter I have and the pups I've started and have seen run all have that same mouth. Gotta love that stuff, They start running fast and at a young age and always seem to do well on snow. You don't see alot of video of dogs on snow on here. I believe this is due partly to the fact that good snow dogs are hard to come by .....Deerhost

Harehound,

That's a really nice video.Too see pups at a young age with that kind of hunt and desire to run in those conditions must make you pretty proud. Those pups did a great job.!!

thanks to everyone for the nice comments and i'm glad you enjoyed the clip. violet is out of my shooters page 1 x farriers wrangler and is 9 months old and reo is from mike riley out of his daisey x dirt road zipper and is 8 months old. so far i am very pleased with both of them. a good snow dog that can run in my conditions is hard to come by. so far these 2 are showing alot of potential. they also are showing me some nose power for being so young. i also have a 9 month old out of dan johnsons cedar run little bugsy x cedar beck blazer 2 owned by bob king that is doing just as good as violet & reo. so far so good but they all have a long way to go b-4 they are what i would call a top harehound.

Them hounds did a darn nice job.I bet they just scream on bare ground.runnin them in deep snow makes them real tough imo.
