Temporary Lameness

Post by Maine Hunter »

I have a 2 year old male that will on occasion every 2 weeks or so will come up lame in his left front leg.
When I touch him he does not show any signs of pain . I take him home and bring him inside by that time he has to be carried
but in about 5 hours he has no limp and is running around like his normal self.
It has been suggested that it could be lime disease but he has had all of his preventative shots.

Had this happen to one of my females. Found out my e-collar strap was a little too long and was bumping her leg. she would get so sore she would carry that leg. I cut of more excess, no more problem. Check the strap while on the dog to see if it will bump the leg.
