i looked for chicken necks but I couldn't find them. i did find turkey necks they were not cheap. I found chicken wings they were not cheap. $2 something a lb.
I got that giant 10lb bag of giant leg quarter for $10bucks i figured why not lets give it a try.
i also grabbed a big steak I think its pork could of been beef. I'll have to look again. it was marked down 25% it was a buck something. almost overdue that must of been why it was marked down. I'm going to feed that to him today.
Not sure what other feed meat wise. PORK or BEEF i wouldn't think it matters.

Joey ask them how much their whole chickens are I paid .88 lb. for them and all you have to do is cut them up.

Re: Raw chicken
Is this in the frozen section or the fresh? I tried save-a-lot yesterday and the cheapest of anything fresh I found was still a tad over $1.00/lb.just for fun beagler wrote:i feed raw hamburger or leg quarters i get the leg quarters at walmart for $5.50
Joeyman, the pork I have read before doesn't get digested well by dogs. I honestly don't know how much truth there is to that but maybe someone on here will know.

Check craigslist. If you don't mind killing and butchering yourself you can usually find animals cheap. I had success posting an ad right before hunting season when people were making room in the freezer for this year's deer and elk. Most people will just give you the old meat instead of throwing it away.

Re: Raw chicken
Our local Kroger will usually have meat that's fixing to turn on sale really cheap. If you don't plan on keeping it long, that might be a viable option for beef and chicken. I've always heard that you're not supposed to feed ham or anything pork to dogs. Not sure how true it is, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
