Deerhost, I own FC Whitney Creek Captain Jack.He is out of IFC Green Bay Shooter and Shoreacres Shakers Dinah. He has 2 LPH wins on snow,1 SPO win on cottontail,1 SPO win on hare, and 1 LPH win on sod.He is 13 and three quarters inches and ran in the 15 inch class. He is the best snow hound I have. Not real fast but a great check hound. If you need I will give you names of guys that judged him and also guys that hunt with me. 906-364-1277

I believe Green Bay Butkus has a littermate brother out in the Northeast. Joe Kuklenski sold him as a young dog. He was a real nice one and just as good as Butkus. Last I heard though Joe never got any word of this dog after he sold him. The guy I guess doesnt run much and never has trialed him. Contact Joe for information.

Butch, Has anyone bred any good 15" bitches that can run on snow to Captain Jack yet?

No. Keith Weyers bred FC Tiger Lilly to him but they are only a few months old. Tiger Lilly is officially measured 13 inches but she is actually bigger. The other bitches that have been bred to him are 13 inch but the oldest pups are only about a year old. I have a male pup out of Captain Jack and Whitney Creek Lola that I am pretty high on.

Thanks Butch, Captain Jack sounds like the kind of dog that keeps the race going when your out gunning. We all know it's exciting to listen a pack of hard hitters, but a good medium speed cold nosed check hound is priceless when the going gets tough. This line of Ranger Dan, Shooter etc. seems to be one of the best at getting the job done when it counts. Hopefully Jack will produce well for you and keep that line of snowdogs going. I will get one from this line at some point to try for myself. Good luck gunning him this winter, Alan
