To Beagleman973 - I wasn't trying to blame the SPO folks in a negative manner if that makes sense. When you added SPO to the magazine you add all of the interest and trial stuff that the SPO audience cares about which takes up space. SPO is pretty big and they seem to have a lot of trials, thus a lot of results. Believe it or not if you go to the spo board they cry over there about too much of the arha and ukc stuff. Can't we all just get along(LOL) I like the old format better, but I do understand the business side of things also.

yeah, I've been getting the Rabbit Hunter for about 18 months now. I think I'll try another magazine when my sub. is up. I suppose I'll try the American Beagler. From what I've seen it looks like the best one.

I get both mags (RH and TAB) and it's hard to tell one from the other any more, although they're both very good. One month they both even ran the same article (which stunk). I think the Houndsman story in RH is hands down the best feature of either magazine. I was also disappointed when it wasn't in this months mag, its the first thing I turn to. I'll continue to get both mags because I love to read anything and everything about rabbit hunting. I will continue to ignore the trial stuff - it's a waste of good paper and ink to me, but if it has to be included to keep the magazine going then I'm all for it.

Bev has a tough job, but like many of you the field trailing stuff does not interest me. It seems TAB is a lot heavier on trails than it used to be, which I don't care for.

I agree, Bev has to try to make everyone happy. Probably will never happen. However, if people were to submit more articles (with pictures), more hunting stories, kennel construction, rabbittat, building enclosures, taking kids along... all that kind of stuff. That is what she can use to fill the pages. Hey, we squeaked the wheel with Iams, maybe we can put our pens (or computers) to work and get Bev some more material to put in her mag.

(Even Swing [if he gets off his meds] could write a good story. God only knows how many of his are true or not. )

There is my challenge to you all. Write, write, write and write some more. Everyone has had a hunt that is memorable.
