OK Bev, I have mentioned it before but I will make it public knowledge. I like the old layout of the magazine MUCH better than the current one.
Let's hear it folks, which way is better?????

I do like the old layout better; however I do understand that magazine now covers what two magazines used to cover. She picked up a whole different crowd that is huge when she picked up the ESPO folks. From a business standpoint Bev has a bigger audience so she will have to have a little something for everyone namely the SPO guys and the UKC guys and all of the rest of us who gun hunt or run arha or fall somewhere in between. These are typically completely different audiences with different tastes so it will definitely be a challenge to try and keep everyone happy.

Like Big Dog said, TAB now has to make another group happy. I dont give 2 hoots about all them trial ads, results and upcoming hunts when im reading the articles and I dont like to thumb through them looking for something else. Im not saying I dont look through them but when im reading TAB they just seem to be in the way. Maybe putting all the different registries ads, results and upcoming hunts together on the last pages of the mag would go over better. That way when you start seeing trial ads, upcoming hunts and results you will know its time to start over at the beginning and read the articles you skipped over. I dont think there are less articles to read than before(there are probably more) its just that there are alot more trialing pages due to SPO coming on board. Just my opinion.

I think the mag does a good job at trying to cover both. There are usually stories about hunting or how to and reports from various field trial events. Its like any other magezine, the hunting stories and related items will come more towards hunting season or during, and the trial stuff comes in the summer. If you want more hunting stories, pick up a pen and write some, I am sure Bev could use all she can get.

Guys, you can't blame it on picking up the "SPO" folks. I used to subscribe to SPO magazine also. And....they had tons of good hunting and training articles, plus trial coverage. But I am with you, I would just as soon see more articles. I get Hounds and Hunting for the trial results I want to see.
If you can't run with the BIG DOGS stay on the porch!
