Dog Bleeding Out
Got a dog that everytime I run him is bleeding out of sides and tail profusely...Dog gets 90% of the checks and jumps most of the rabbits...I think the dog has too much heart...Does anyone else have this problem?? I don't know what to do??

Re: Dog Bleeding Out
Just put a band on his tail and it will solve your problem. Take off around 2 inches off the tip of his tail.
All the guys around here band the tails of their beagles or dock them when 3 days old.
Banding is easy and in about two weeks if the tail is not off below the band, just take it off with a side cutter, nothing to it and little or no pain to the dog.

Re: Dog Bleeding Out
I just banded my one year old females tail and it fell off within 3 weeks. If your dog is like mine than it should have enough white at the tip where you wont even notice. My female has about 4 1/2 inches of white on her tail and i only took 1 1/2 inches off and you dont even notice. I had her out this afternoon and what a difference no blood and she was hunting the really thick briars.
