Info needed on Ranger Dan son FC Mr. Buddy III

Post by Air Force Ken »

I currently have a very nice 18 month of female out of this male and I am going to breed my best bitch to him within the next two weeks if everything goes okay. I know that he has not been bred as much as other sons out of Ranger Dan and I am hoping that someone on the board has a little more info on the dog. I am basically looking for anyone that may have seen him run in a trial or may know of some pups out of him. My little bitch out of him has hard hunt, and runs a very tight line with about a 7 in speed.

The female that I am going to bred to him is about a 6-7 on speed with all day hunt, great line control and check work. She is the best dog in my pack and she has produced some nice pups when bred to my Indian Hills male. I would expect the pups to be around 13 inches and I am hoping that they are a solid 7 in speed without losing the brains, hunt and control of the mother. I had considered breeding her to Shooter but since I already have a male pup out of him and with this FC Mr. Buddy III being about an hour from me in VA it just makes more sense. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Kenyon

Here is the link to the pedigree that I created.

I don't know anything about the dog you are asking about but I wanted to chime in with my $0.02 real quick.

I have learned over the last few years not to buy a dog that I haven't personally seen run and I think I would hold the same opinion about breeding to one too..............unless of course someone I really trusted recommended it to me. Maybe the info you get on here will help with your decision but it's still second hand info from people I'm guessing you don't know very well. Please don't take any offense to this, it's JMO on it.

Good luck whichever way you decide to go.

Ok I bred a t-tiger female to him about 3yrs ago the two I kept all started early an had good hunt. The other pups out of the litter hat i know of started easy also, they had good line control an hunt a little tight with there mouths but other than that I would breed to him again in a heart beat if he were closer,Just my 2 cents worth.

Hey Scott, that Hemi pup opened up on a sight chase Thursday night when I had him out for a walk. He's already trying to use his nose but didn't bark on scent.......I was kinda surprised.

Sorry Ken, not trying to hijack your post..........on with the advice.
