Just My luck.

Post by Mapel Valley Kennels LLC. »

My bitch FC Abshires Abby has been down for awhile, hurt herself while she was running, after about 3 weeks of no better I decided i better go to plan b and see my vet. Bad news she has a deginerated back disease, her vertabres are growing together and he said probaly 2 yrs top.WTF I had to gather my thoughts as i bred and rasied her from day 1.This is as hard a blow as i have had since the beginning , my dog is not gonna be around much longer. Abby was a pleasure to run as any dog i have owned and or trained , a natural. She could give junie all he wanted and more on any given day.She sure made me proud hard to believe its over. She will be artifically bred by my vet and sorry but no pups will be for sale.I owe her that.I gotta believe it will be my best cross ever, as it has been the plan all along. Thanks for understanding.

I had one that had a similar condition. They gave him steroids and anti inflamatories for about 2 weeks. He has been fine for 4.5 years now.

Sorry to hear about that Jim..............it always has to be the good ones. :(

I do wanna ask though, her condition isn't something that could be passed on to the pups? I've never heard about that happening before and I just wondered if it is genetic or what.

take the bad and turn it in to something good Jimmy! Those pups are golden and will bring the joy back as they grow and carry on those traits.
