using the pink ointment on tails

Post by pztrailman »

I was wondering if anyone has tried using the pink ointment on raw tails. If the stuff works so good on cut pads would it work on helping the tail heal up?

I'm sure it would work on healing the tail as I have used it on cuts or scabs on a dogs ear; however as soon as you take the dog back in the woods and he starts beating that tail against the briars it will open back up. The pad on a dogs foot is made to take the pounding tht it gets, however the tip of the tail isn't.
