The 2 mile sounds great, but a few times i think i would have needed a 3 mile.Denver i found them over here by the race track by my house. This young dog out of jett,if he can run a rabbit like he was running that deer he is going to be hard to beat.

I figure if you go with the 2 mile you will get a mile. It depends on a number of things, weather, clouds, thick woods, hills and hollows will all play a part in range on e-collars and tracking systems for that matter.I have a sport dog with 1mile range but I dont believe for a second it transmitts that far, unless I was in the desert.Fortunatly I havent had to use it that far out but theres a first time for everthing I suppose.GOOD LUCK!

I hought the TT classic 70 1 mile range bout 4-5 year agoime I have needed it. I have had to send in a couple recievers over the years. but they were usually replaced with brand new ones.
Come refund time think i'm gonna upgrade to the trash breaker.....Rather have it and not need it.......than to need it and not have it.

I own three sets; one each of the Beagler-1 mile, XL-1mile, and the Trash Breaker-2 miles. They all work well, but by far my favorite is the Trash Breaker. I live in the foothills of NC with mts., hills, valleys, and all sorts of weather conditions. And as has already been said these play a big role in distance for training collars.
My favorite is the Trash Breakers, because they will REACH OUT AND TOUCH when the others can't!! They are good and HOT also, so you don't need as higher setting for some corrections. If I'm out of position, or the conditions are not in my favor the Trash Breakers level the field most times. I use them on those young un proven hounds, visiting hounds, or those that have been prone to slip every once and awhile, just in case.
As has already been said, "Better to have them, and not need them--than to need them and not have them."
And it's amazing to watch the trained hounds respond to the sound of another that makes a mistake, and needs a little correcting from time to time. They will be standing at your feet in just a few seconds as if to say here I am, it wasn't me, please don't mistake me for them!!
