Arkansas hunt in the snow PiC

Post by jakemoore »

Finally got away from work long enough for Pop and I to turn the dogs loose.
We got about a foot of snow but by the time i got cut loose from work it was leaving fast and we wanted to get out in it. Didn't expect much out of the dogs since they VERY VERY seldom get to run on the snow. and we had as much as we did. But the hounds geared down and did a hell of a job. Trimmer retrieved every rabbit but one and Buster beat him to it!!!!

We workrd our a$$es off over the weekend 10 hour nights Wed-Sun Worked 8 hr tonight and off tomorrow(02-02-2010) this place is crazy can't plan nothing. plan on getting in another snow hunt tomorrow!!!!!!!

Nice pics! Thanks for sharing. Some of the best hunts I've been on have been in the melting snow.

Nice pictures Jake, I didnt know you liked the snow that much. I cant wait to run without the snow. Seems like thats all we have had since early December. I dont know how the guys up North do it, it flat wears me down walking through the stuff.

You bet I like that hunting in the snow Brian. After all I only get to do it once or twice a year if that here in Arkansas... I really didn't expect the dogs to do as well as they did......They fooled me!!!

Ron, doubt you'll have to worry about there being any snow down this way in a few weeks...It will be gone in another day or two I figure.... Now Missouri might be a different story!

Thanks for the compilments we really had a great time!!!!!
