Blasted work!!!

Post by big mike 50 »

I was so p!$$ed off I had to go in and work this morning and am now off to a wrestling meet. We had a heat wave come through today. I just got in from feeding the dogs in shorts and a tee-shirt. Granted it was only 42 and there is still 6 inches of snow or more on the ground. There were rabbit tracks all over and this would have been a great day to have the dogs out all day. The good thing is it is supposed to be 35 and sunny all weekend long. I told the dogs when I was feeding them that we are going to have a great weekend and they were going to be able to chase bunnies all weekend long.

Consider yourself lucky, I have one on the HS team and one on the MS team. Plus I coach the MS and youth team. Lets see, practice until 5:30 Tue, Wed and Fri and til 7:00 on Mon and Wed. (youth team). Sat HS tourneys and Sun youth tourneys. Ah yea and lets not forget HS meets on Wed nights. I woulodn't change it for the world. The dogs are more understanding then my sons and wife... yep, i agree you didnt miss anything today. bunnies would not run but straight to hole. we watched one rabbit jump early and run 10 feet to hole then the second rabbit gave a 5 minute race straight to hole. too bad it didnt stay up they were pounding it. the bunnies were hard to find also.
the only good thing is the snow is melting quickly and should bring a good weekend and next week :D
i dont think i am ready for shorts and t-shirts yet

jt&z's dad, how old do they have to be to start on the youth team?

later, dave

Dave, youth wrestling starts at 5 years old. Age groups are 5-6, 7-8,9-10,11-12, and 13-14. There are 2 divisions, novice and open. Your age group is determined by how old you are on Jan 1st.

I will be running on Sunday. I'm hoping for some bare ground with scattered snow patches.

Thanks Dave and Matt, that makes me feel a lot better. jt&z's dad I feel for you. However I also can imagine how much fun and pride you have. I love that signature wrestling sure seperates the boys from the men(even though we had a girl go undefeated on our MS team this year). Football was my main focus but this was my fourth year coaching middle school wrestling and I have loved it. Nothing builds character and pride in a young person like wrestling!!!

You could be in the military and be stationed in the desert and Korea for 4 straight years......No rabbits, no beagles, just an ugly JRT that I pretend is a beagle so I dont go crazy......

3 more months and counting......

I think I will run the first rabbit all by myself......dogs will have to be faster than me or they will get culled........
