Think I'll Write a Book
THINK I'LL WRITE A BOOK
I think I'll write a book about a prominent Little Pack member and the escapades he has got himself into by his deceitful ways. It would be fictitious, of course.
In the book, he has failed to pay entry fees for his dogs at his home club, took more money that the club agreed in the minutes to pay for a family member to run concessions, always judged for the big boys when they rolled into his home club, sold dogs to different individuals and failed to follow up on his promise to provide AKC papers, didn't support his Master of Hounds when the MOH suspended a friend of his for misconduct, and threatened the secretary if he told anyone of these things, when the secretary confronted him. Also, at one trial, when he thought everyone was gone out on casts, he slipped the collar off one of the secretary's dogs, apparently hoping it would get on Main Street in front of the building and get killed. But someone was sitting in a vehicle and saw him.
Of course the secretary would need to be able to provide documentation on minutes and cancelled checks, and letters from the individuals who did not receive their AKC papers, which he has. Also, he would need to be able to provide a copy of the e-mail on the threat, which he has.
A couple of years later, at a hunt, this prominent member asked who was in the finals. When told that the secretary (at this time ex-secretary) had a dog in the finals, he stated that was a shame. The next day he got a chance to follow through on his threat when he judged the ex-secretary's dog in the finals. I'll leave some of the good stuff for the book.
Maybe I'll add to the story that he is state and national officer of Little Pack division of ARHA. I think I'll title the book READ IT AND WEEP.
It would be fictitious, of course. No one would cheat their home club by taking money they didn't deserve, not paying their entries, not supporting their officers, not providing promised paperwork, threatening officers, trying to kill dogs, and cheating when they judge. That would take a real scumbag

Would be a good book. What name would you give the main character?
Hey Ted, when you get a rough draft send it my way.
It helps when guys are wanting to get into trialing if they knew some of these "stories" so they know who and what to look for.
Every game has them, it's just hard to tell who they are sometimes.

A bully is only tough untill someone stands up to him.
They normally show their true, cowardly colors when challenged.
They only get away with it when people refuse to call them out.
If you see this hapening and don't do something to stop it you're just as bad as he is.
It's time to stand up Ted.
Take care,
Mony

Just Hunter.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking Ted.
It seems, that by posting this thread, he's got his courage worked up enough to make his move.
I don't know anything about this situtation. I was just speaking in general.
One guy can't control a whole group, no matter who he is, if they don't let him. If enough people contact the right people the bad guy will fall.
Ted,
I appoligize if I worded my last post incorrectly. I admire you for taking a stand. If more people would, things wouldn't get so far out of hand.
I can see by your post that if you had it to do over you would have acted sooner.
Take care,
Mony

I'm gonna keep pushing my book. Mason, I would probably name the lead character Catfish, because he is all mouth and gut. Blackdirt, the story would take place in Tennessee. Mony, your reply would make a good chapter in the book. The secretary could say that he did contact the Chairman and passed the info on. The secretary was informed that they did not get involved in local clubs problems. Also, I could say that the 3 people who did not get their AKC papers called Catfish repeadly and were all told different stories. They ended up sending him more money to cover the extra cost of the papers and then called the Chairman of LP. All of this took over a year. Some people smack others and get banned from ARHA for fighting. Others write books.
book
i think like all stories there are two sides i think maybe ted has a personal conflict whith the person in his book i would like to here the second side of this story im sure its just as good but whith another point of view ps if he stole money from the club arha is not who need to contact more like local police dep this is a crime not bad ethics
ted tells a real good story an i say story because thats what it is one man running another down because he didnt get his way as far as cheating a man in the feild i say folks could say alot about the character of judges at his club theres 2 story but im not going to get into the childish name calling but the man ted is talking about is a good man in my book an has done alot for arha he not perfect but nobody is but ted
