Syris/Tango Litter Mates

Post by Bill G. »

I have pup whelped June 13 2003 and would like to find out how pups from that breeding are doing. My pup is a female and may breed later if she turns out good.Would like to make contacts for that reason.Syris and Tango have some really good backgrounds and I know from this forum that Sy is great performer. I do not know anything about Tango except she came out of some good stock.

Bill if your asking about FC Northern Tango, I have seen him run, and I have a litter that is derby age this year. all the pups are doing better then I hoped for.Tango does seem to increase the search/hunt into his offspring.

No, he's asking about the breeding between Syris McGee and Singleton's Tango. I have a female out of this breeding and she is doing quite well.
She's still a little tight mouthed, but is coming out of that.
She is the only dog I have that can trail a rabbit with her head up and she usually leads my pack.
She's not real competitive, but she is solid.
I have a friend that has a male out of this cross as well and that hound is gonna be top notch. He has more time to run his dogs than I do, so I allow for that when I evaluate my female.
I'd love to have another pup from this cross.

I'll be breeding another female of mine that is a granddaughter on one side and great granddaughter on the other side of IFC Taylor's Sock it to me. I"ll breed her to a son of Syris's named Topper. He seems to be a top notch hound as well.

BTW, Ron Cook, Cooks Hilltop Beagles of Murray, Ky owns Singletons Tango now.
Send me an e-mail and we will compare notes. :D

Take care.

Bill I have a male from this cross he is doing a real good job .He has been running with my older dogs for about a month sometimes he gives them all they want. One thing for sure he is not tight with his mouth. He will bawl some onthe track but he goes into a chop when he is running hard.I start alot of pups and I really like what I have seen from the Syris pups I have started.

That pup sounds like he is doing quite well Dan.
Maybe next season, those of us who have a pup out of that litter can get together with them and do some running. Sounds like fun, eh? ;)

Hi Dan/Bopeye my pups name is Bingo and she is doing preety good also, but she is tight with mouth at times. She gets her share of the checks and at times will get most of them. Bingo is so hyper it is hard to get a collar on her,but she minds good and is easy to work with. Started off running really fast and overrunning and also wanted to hunt alone, but she is running well with adult dogs now packing good and started to slow according to the track. Bopeye I would like to get together some time and

beaglehandler,
I got a female puppy out of that same litter and just took her to the starting pen on Wednesday. Dorroh's JT Rebel Pearl is out of FC Mr. Stub's Maple Hill Cheif X Branko's Dandy Candy, a Branko's Phantom of the Opera bitch.
Have you tried to start your pup yet?

I sold a female pup that I had got from Wayne Dorroh from that litter. It took just a day or two in th starting pen and she was running . The only problem I had with her was her size about 12 inches the man I sold her to really likes her though.

I have been running her for about a month now and she is amazing. I always take her when I run my other dogs and keep her on a lead. While the other dogs are running I walk her thru a easy thickett and when I see a rabbit get up I put her on where it was sitting. The first time I did that she looked like a circus elephant standing on her head. She started running the track and would work it for a few minutes and then come back to me. She has come a long ways in just a month, I ran her one day this week by herself and she got up a couple of rabbits and ran them and worked the line, but she has never barked on a track. When I have let her run with my older pups she will run the track with them and bark. I have let her run rabbits out of my rabbit pens in the back yard, ran two killed two. When she runs them down and kills them she gets vicious, it is hard getting the rabbit away from her without getting bit. She is the easy pup to handle I have ever had, she remembers yard training while in the field.
