Hey I'm looking for a northway or branko female between 15 to 24 months old. Must be a tri-color hoping to find one well started with good hunt, honest mouth, and good line control. Why do you say that? I have Northway and love them. And i know of alot of guys that like them. I see that you didnt post who you are so what good is that. Must be a nobody....................

yea here we go again eveyrone especially guests thinking there darn dog expert... i'll run what i want to run and you run what your want to run! that doesnt mean my dogs are better than yours or vise versa. i'm just saying we all got our own opinions and you know how that goes

To Guest - Quantify yourself, why do you say stay away from Northway? I am pretty critical of dogs, and I own one Northway/Branko female(mostly northway, only one cross of Branko in a 5 gen pedigree) and she is a pretty tough dog for 10 months old. Has already had 40 rabbits or more killed in front of her. I actually like what I have seen out of this line, and I am relatively hard to please.

BIG DOG , I AM ALSO STARTING TO TAKE A INTEREST IN THE NORTHWAY LINE. HAD A NORTHWAYxBRANKO-INDIAN HILLS FEMALE ALTHOUGH NOT A GREAT DOG, HAD SOME VERY GOOD TRAITS. KILLED ALOT OF RABBITS OVER HER!!!!! LET US KNOW HOW YOURS PROGRESSES

i see someone is trying to stir the pot i have a northway branko male thats 19 months old and runs very well been in 2 trials and place in both at under 15 months old he will hunt all day as hard as when he started honest mouth good line control and speed with a lot of brains he really can gear down when the going gets tuff the only thing i see people may not like is some of them can get a little big hes a full 15 bin we have 2and a half feet of snow here in wis and he just keeps plowing threw it not affraid of getting in the garbage and comming back with a bunch of battle scars this dog loves the trash and runs and works hard in some nasty weather conditions so if you have something to gripe about at least have the 00 to put your name and why you dont like them thank you bullboy

Paul Kormony in NY is the owner of Northway Kennels. Dexter Reffet in Pikeville KY, breeds the Northway line of dogs and normally has pups for sale. If you need a phone number drop me an email

I have 3 Branko/Northway females in my kennel now and I like them. Like Big Dog said, check with Dexter Reffett or Lynn Perkins. They might have one or know someone who does in eastern Kentucky.

Check with Lynn Perkins and see if he has any. I know he breeds Northway dogs.
